At 47, Michelle Chavez is a dedicated volleyball enthusiast with a lifelong passion for the game. Having played in high school, she went on to coach high school varsity volleyball for five years and travel club volleyball for ten years. A proud wife and mother of two daughters—both of whom have followed in her footsteps by playing volleyball—Michelle continues to stay active in the sport, playing at the A level for USAV. Her extensive experience, both as a player and coach, reflects her deep commitment to volleyball and fostering talent in young athletes.
In addition to her coaching career, Michelle has spent ten years managing back-office operations for a girls' travel volleyball club. This role has seen her take on responsibilities such as hiring and managing coaches, organizing travel tournaments, planning practices, and overseeing tryouts. Her leadership and organizational skills have played a crucial role in the success of the club, helping young athletes develop and thrive.
