Official rules and calculator limits
This calculator is for the 2026-27 indoor club season. It is not a roster approval and does not apply to beach or national-team age definitions.
- USA Volleyball 2026-27 age definitions set the July 1 windows and published grade-based exceptions.
- JVA publishes the same birth-date windows plus a club-submitted age-waiver process in its girls rules and boys rules.
- AAU’s latest posted indoor chart is 2025-26. It uses July 1, but AAU had not published its 2026-27 indoor age chart when these rules were reviewed. The AAU result above is a projection, not a roster approval.
Rules reviewed August 12, 2026.

Step 3
Complete every offer step before your athlete returns
A parent or guardian must be available in person or online when offers are made. If your athlete receives an offer, open the email link, submit the acceptance form and required identity document, and make the commitment payment before your athlete returns to the court. If you do not finish every step, 630 may offer the spot to another athlete.
Tryout day, in four steps
- Arrive 30 minutes before the age-group slot with shoes, knee pads, athletic gear, and a labeled water bottle. Returning athletes wear the instructed red practice shirt.
- New athletes check in for a photo and height measurement, then receive a numbered practice vest called a pinnie.
- Complete the vertical jump test, give staff the recorded result, and join the age-group evaluation.
- If the athlete receives an offer, the parent or guardian submits the acceptance form and identity document, then makes the commitment payment before the athlete returns to the court.
