Executive leadership
Nick sets the club’s direction. Michelle leads day-to-day operations.

Nick Maruyama
Executive Director · Head Coach, Boys 17-1
Leads 630’s club operations and coaches Boys 17-1. Recognized as a 30 Under 30 coach by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, he also serves as a Volleyball League of America head coach and Junior Volleyball Association boys representative.

Michelle Chavez
Director of Operations · Assistant Coach, 630 Breeze
Leads 630’s day-to-day operations and assists with the 630 Breeze. She brings high school varsity and travel-club coaching experience, plus A-level playing experience in USA Volleyball.

The people responsible for boys, girls and youth development programs.

Bryan “BP” Paliza
Boys Program Director
BP works with athletes from 12s through adults. His lessons meet athletes where they are, whether they are strengthening fundamentals, preparing for high school or club volleyball, or pursuing collegiate opportunities. He aims to help each athlete develop technically, build confidence, and solve problems on the court.

Taylor Skoglund
Girls Director
Taylor brings collegiate playing and coaching experience to her work with 630’s girls program. Her individual training centers on serving, passing, and pin hitting.

Kailee Itzenhuiser
Youth Development Director
Kailee’s work connects youth development with individual skill training. She helps athletes understand their game and build the self-awareness to make corrections in the moment.
Advisors
These specialists support the club in digital operations, mental performance and college recruiting.

Nino Chavez
Marketing & Digital Operations Advisor
Advises 630 on marketing and digital operations. His work includes the website, content publishing, photography and video.

Dan Mickle
Mental Performance Coach
Supports 630 athletes through mental performance coaching. His work helps athletes prepare, focus and perform with confidence.

Kevin Pratte
College Recruiting Advisor
Advises 630 athletes and families through college recruiting. His background includes Division I college play, college coaching, high school coaching and recruiting coordination.
Founder
The person who started the club and shaped its foundation.

Tim Maruyama
Founder
Founded the club in 2012 and introduced the 630 Volleyball name in 2018. He also founded Serve City Volleyball and co-founded Chicago Sand Volleyball.
